The islands of Malta. Amazing civilization crossroads in the middle of the Mediterranean.

It was small, it was just on the reef at Dingli Cliff. We loved going there specially in the evening, looking west in every season for the best sunsets.

History says that the Pope lent the archipelago to the order of the Knights Hospitaller after being kicked out of Rhodes. The price? A Maltese hawk to be sent to the Vatican every year.

The name of the city is Mdina, which means city in Arabic. In the highest place in the island of Malta, it was home to Punics, Greeks, Romans, Arabs and everyone else after.

We learnt that the Maltese love to do cosplay!

Every day has a saint. But August 15th is the day of the most important, Santa Marija. In Mosta, our city, the procession is marching on.

We lived in Mosta a labyrinthic place, the streets follow the pattern of animals that are no longer there.

Near the Blue Grotto, south of the Hagar temples, looking west. We loved going there even in winter, to see the sunset on the Mediterranean.

Nothing last forever, the arch or the window in Gozo is gone, maybe after a storm like this one.

The biggest dome? No, there are bigger ones. But it was the dome in our city, the Mosta dome.
